Introducing the Bloomstone Reserve Line — heavy bloom egg line created by White House Black Egg Market
This line is for people who don’t just collect eggs… they admire them, and the price tag reflects the years of breeding it takes to accomplish this.
Bloomstone Reserve focuses on exceptional bloom layered over green or brown shells, creating eggs that look frosted, washed, velvety, and one-of-a-kind.
The bloom will NOT Always be visible - blooms change thickness depending on many factors so by ordering you may receive some eggs without a bloom (especially with Texas heat) BUT the genetics are there. Also, a hen from this line has a 50/50 chance of laying a bloomy egg, although I do my best to always increase these odds. By ordering you agree to all of this!
Chickens are little artists and lay different shades, speckles and blooms every day. I know everyone wants the thickest blooms in their orders, and I will always give the best that I have but you will get a mix from this stunning line if you purchase from me.
Water will expose the true color of an egg with a bloom so that’s why you see lines or droplets in the photos. I have posted many photos on the website so please take a look at all of them before ordering.
What’s so special:
• Bloomy eggs with dramatic, high-impact finishes
• Base shell colors are green or brown, transformed by bloom into muted, dusty tones
• Eggs can appear taupe, rose, purple, sage, olive, gray, or stone depending on bloom thickness
• Some eggs show natural patterning, patches, or “washed” areas as the bloom settles
• Water reveals the color underneath
• A favorite for collectors, photographers, and curated egg baskets
About blooms:
That chalky, powdery coating is a natural protective layer. In heavy bloom lines, it can dramatically change how the egg appears and wear differently from egg to egg, making every collection feel special.
IMPORTANT: Bloomstone Reserve is a limited, specialty line and offered only in 1/2 dozens or chicks. This line was started by other breeders’ heavy bloom lines and developed with my breeding so each season/colors will be ever-changing and offspring will lay different colored eggs than hatched from. Blooms often change in thickness throughout a hens laying season. The first few eggs laid may not have a bloom as blooms sometimes get thicker as the hen develops. Blooms are also not a guarantee but I do my best to make sure my hens and roos have tendency towards producing bloomy offspring.
You will be contacted letting you know your eggs/chicks are available in the order of purchase. MAX of 1/2 dozen eggs or 4 chicks at a time.
Please Note: Chicks are available for local pickup only. Hatching eggs may be shipped or picked up locally. Shipping will be added to all orders but will be reimbursed for local pickup. Heavy Bloom eggs can be harder to hatch so they are not for beginners. Chicks are straight run (unsexed) chicks.
